GardaDiving is the brand of ATIS Diving Club dedicated to those who want to discover Lake Garda from an underwater perspective. Behind every dive there is a real school, made of people, experience and a passion for the lake.
One brand, one school
GardaDiving is the tourist face of ATIS Diving Club, a sports and social-promotion association (A.S.D./A.P.S.) recognised by the Italian Olympic Committee (CONI). ATIS is a diving school and dive centre open all year round on Lake Garda.
Through GardaDiving we tell the story of the lake to those who want to explore it underwater: try dives, guided excursions, courses and the most beautiful dive sites on Lake Garda — from wrecks to walls, from sunken statues to shoals.

GardaDiving is the brand of ATIS Diving Club
Behind GardaDiving stands A.S.D./A.P.S. ATIS Diving Club, the sports and social promotion association recognised by CONI: the school, the instructors, the training agencies and the insurance cover are all its own. GardaDiving is the name the club uses to speak to those who want to discover Lake Garda underwater.
Theory, pool sessions and courses take place at the Dossobuono site: it is the club’s training heart, where certifications are earned.

Our story
From a personal venture to a reference point for diving on Lake Garda.
- 2018
The identity is born
The ATIS brand takes shape. The acronym, which started as “Alberto Tumminelli Underwater Instructor”, soon becomes “Tourist Underwater Diving Activities”.
- 2019
The school is founded
Official founding of the diving school and dive centre: a structured organisation dedicated to training, inclusion and promoting diving for everyone.
- 2021
HSA reference for Lake Garda
Founder Alberto Tumminelli becomes the sole HSA reference for Lake Garda and the Province of Verona, bringing diving to people with disabilities too.
- Today
The largest centre in Veneto
ATIS is today among the leading diving-training centres in the region, with a close-knit team and a community that lives the lake all year round.
We train divers from their very first breath underwater to advanced levels, with internationally recognised certifications that are also valid for public competitions and law-enforcement bodies.

Underwater, without barriers
ATIS Diving Club is HSA-certified (Handicapped Scuba Association) and authorised to train and certify divers with motor and sensory disabilities — including blind divers — as well as psychological and relational ones. Underwater there is no weight: the lake becomes a place of freedom for everyone.

Over 15 years of experience in the field and five published books on diving, leadership and applied psychology. He leads ATIS with a simple idea: diving is a school of trust, self-control and respect, in and out of the water.

Me and my 10 year old son where able to do some cool dives with Atis, very professional staff and good diving equipment. We will definitely go back!
We could easily get an appointment for a diving course two days after we asked for it through the number given on their website. As soon as we arrived, we got all the gear we needed and hopped on a boat that took us out on the lake. The boat trip was about 30min so you kind of have a free boat trip included :) After they explained what we were going to see under water and how we would have to breathe and move, we each got a personal diving teacher that showed us a sunken boat and all the fishes inside and around of it. We each paid 50€ which was a really fair price considering that the equipment rental and the boat trip were included & that we spent all morning on the lake. It was a great experience that we would advice everyone to make since all of the club members were really nice, caring and patient + the under water world was definitely worth it!!
Great, professional crew! It was awsome to dive with them in Garda to see a sunken ship, lots of underwate life and to cruise on a motorboat during a quite rough day above the water level on Garda. Highly recomended, newbie or pro, dive with them. Thanks guys!
